Alliance with JD(U) intact in Bihar, says BJP Chief

They talked about various issues concerning the next Lok Sabha polls due in 2019. Later in the evening, Nitish Kumar also hosted a dinner  for Amit Shah at his official residence.

The meeting gained significance as the parties have started preparation for the next general elections.

 Both the leaders met at the state guest house where the two had breakfast.

They spent close to 45 minutes and according to sources talked about various issues concerning the next Lok Sabha polls due in 2019.

Amit Shah also addressed party workers from the social media wing and discussed many apsects about the electoral strategy. He also dismissed any threat from the so called mahagathbandhan.

Shah accused the opposition of engaging in false rumours and propoganda against the NDA. He reiterated that the NDA is united and will fight the coming elections as one entity.

This is Amit Shah’s first tour of Bihar after Nitish left the MAhagathbandhan and joined the NDA.

The main purpose of the visit is to further enhance coordination with allies apart from strengthening the party.

Considering the preparation for 2019 general polls and even more crucial aspect of seat distribution with allies, the visit is od immense political importance for the BJP.

BJP won 22 seats in Bihar during the 2014 polls, while Ram Vilas Paswan’s LJP tasted victory in 6 constituencies. RLSP, lead by Upendra Kushwaha won in 3 seats.

Overall NDA cornered lions share with its candidates winning in 31 out of 40 seats. On the other hand Jd(U) which constested polls alone could only register 2 wins.

The exact seat sharing formula is still far from conclusion , but a forward moverment on the issue has definitely been made with the current visit of party president in Bihar .
