4 people killed in road accident in Mathura

Mathura : Four people were killed, including a four-year-old child, and three others were injured in a road accident on the Yamuna Expressway in the Surir police station boundaries, according to authorities on Saturday.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his condolences for the fatalities and asked officials to provide adequate treatment to those injured. According to Surir police station SHO Sanjay Tyagi, the wounded couple had recently married and the family was returning from their wedding ceremony in Noida to Mathura when their car collided into another four-wheeler and flipped on late Friday night.

The groom’s father, Chandrapal Singh (65) and another person, Digambar Singh (40), were killed on the spot, while Harendra died from his injuries in the hospital. Priyanshi, four, died in the hospital on Saturday, according to the SHO.
