Addressing a press conference in Jaipur on Thursday, Dilawar revealed that the Special Operations Team (SOT) had submitted a report on 243 physical instructors, highlighting large-scale corruption in the recruitment process conducted under the Congress government. Preliminary findings by the Education Department indicated that 134 PTIs were appointed through fraudulent means. Consequently, they have been removed from their positions.

Providing further details, Dilawar stated that out of the 243 flagged candidates, 19 were never appointed, 10 did not join, and 33 have obtained a stay order from the court. The Education Department is preparing to contest these cases legally.

Moreover, Om Prakash Bishnoi, who was involved in the paper leak scandal linked to the PTI recruitment process, has also been dismissed. Additionally, the Education Department has terminated five of its own employees and suspended 30 others. Investigations are ongoing, with another 47 employees facing disciplinary action as per government regulations.

The Education Minister further emphasized that the department will continue scrutinizing other recruitments to ensure that no candidate secured a job through fake degrees or diplomas. Strict action will be taken against any individual found guilty of such misconduct.

It is noteworthy that in 2022, a recruitment drive was conducted for 5,546 PTI positions, requiring candidates to have completed Class 12 along with a certification or diploma in physical education. However, document verification revealed that 321 candidates had submitted fake or mismatched educational records. Shockingly, some successful candidates had only studied up to Class 8. Based on the SOT’s report, 243 candidates were identified as having secured jobs fraudulently. As a result, the government has now taken action against 134 of them.

This decisive move by the Rajasthan government signals its commitment to eliminating corruption and ensuring transparency in recruitment processes. Further investigations are expected to unveil additional irregularities, potentially leading to more dismissals and legal actions in the coming weeks.
